For as long as Adam can remember, art has been a part (arguably the largest) of who he is. He has lived in several states and regions, from California to Kentucky, and from the dry heat of Arizona to the cold and wind of Idaho and Utah.
Currently, Adam is enrolled at the University of Colorado Denver School of Dental Medicine (artists can be doctors too), having recently graduated from the Visual Arts Department at Brigham Young University in the Illustration program. His studies have also encompassed other disciplines like history and foreign language. Rather than divide himself among potentially competing fields of interest, Adam chooses to find the common ground that exists in everyday life.
Adam’s education has exposed him to a range of mediums, including gouache, acrylics, and oil paints, as well as some digital. He also incorporates other methods like graphite and ink, collage and pastel. He experiments with various styles and has no strong preference in regards to how he works, believing instead that each solution to a given “problem” is only one of many possibilities.
